VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - November 21, 2007 -- The Educational Policy Institute today released a new guidebook on strategic enrollment management (SEM) entitled A Practical Guide to Strategic Enrollment Management Planning in Higher Education. The guidebook was co-authored by Bob Wilkinson of Pittsburg State University, James Taylor of the University of Aveiro & Center for Research in Higher Educati on Policies, Portugal, Ange Peterson of the University of Central Florida, and Maria de Lourdes Machado-Taylor of the Center for Research in Higher Educati on Policies, Portugal.

The guidebook was written to provide a multi-step process for enrollment managers to follow in order to facilitate strategic enrollment management planning in all types of postsecondary educational institutions. It draws heavily from the practical experiences of the authors, the literature base on strategic planning as well as actual institutional strategic planning experiences.
