The Educational Policy Institute is hosting the Third Annual National Capitol Summit on Education in Washington, DC April 12-13, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. This education-focused event will look at a variety of critical issues in education, including a special focus on STEM Education. This letter is an invitation to participate as a sponsor for this important event.
The goal of the 2010 National Capitol Summit is to provide policymakers, elected members, their staff, and other education stakeholders with an orientation to significant issues facing our K-12 and postsecondary systems. The summit will introduce these policy topics through moderated discussions provided by experts in education policy and practice. Topic areas include teacher education, STEM education in secondary school, STEM education in postsecondary education, and a look at how the revision of the US student financial aid system will impact students and institutions in 2010.
The Summit will allow policy stakeholders to take part in a dialogue about key issues that will be superimposed over other pressing national and international issues. Leading national scholars, policy analysts, and administrators currently engaged in these issues will participate. Following the summit, a monograph documenting the discussion will provide a summary of the event will be published, providing a resource for use by Capitol staffers and policymakers across the country.
This year we have three sponsorship levels for institutions, organizations, or business/industry participants:
