Call for Papers/Presentations
Presentations may be submitted by individuals, school districts, institutions, organizations, foundations, associations, and education providers. For-profit providers may not submit a paper unless they are a sponsor of the RETENTION 2012: International Conference on Student Success. CLICK HERE for the proposal application. Early Bird Deadline for proposals is December 15, 2011 and regular deadline January 31, 2012. Early Bird proposals will receive special consideration and be notified before January 15th.
For 2011, we are encouraging proposals in the four following themes:

Career Colleges
Subjects may include, but are not limited to:

Evidence-based practices and strategies for high schools, two- and four-year institutions, and proprietary institutions;

Distance Education;
-
Student tracking and monitoring;

Institutional change;
-
Program planning and implementation;
-
Students with disabilities;
-
Solutions for HBCUs, HIS, and Tribal Colleges;
-
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
-
International program/ strategies;
-
Research, evaluation, and impact analysis; and
-
Best practices in financial aid, student services, academic services, recruitment and admissions, and teaching and learning.

Presenters are encouraged to bring handouts summarizing the key points of their presentation and to contain information that participants should remember once they have returned to their institution. Printouts of power point presentations are also encouraged. Each breakout session will be attended by approximately 60 people. EPI will provide a data projector for each presentation but participants need to provide their own laptop.
EPI does not provide any compensation for individuals accepted to serve as conference presenters. This includes compensation for travel-related expenses and hotel accommodations. Presenters will be charged the Early Bird Registration Fee.
All proposals must be submitted by DECEMBER 15, 2011 for Early Bird Consideration and JANUARY 31, 2012 for open consideration.
