are hosting Retention2006 in Las Vegas,
Nevada. The focus of Retention2006 is
to provide a venue for sharing information
about practices and strategies to improve
the retention and persistence rates of
students at postsecondary institutions.

Retention Retreat - Spring 2006
March 19-21, 2006, JW Marriott Starr
Ranch Hotel, Tucson, Arizona
The Educational Policy Institute and studentretention.org
are hosting two retention retreats this
calendar year. These retreats are 2.5
day workshops for institutional personnel
who are directly involved in the planning
and implementation of a retention strategy
for their institution. Expected participants
include top- and middle-level management
and institutional practitioners, staff,
and faculty. Participants will work in
a relaxed atmosphere to learn about the
challenges to student retention and strategies
that can improve retention and persistence
rates. Throughout the retreat, participants
will work on a specific plan for action
to take back to their campus. Registration
is limited to promote an inclusive and
networked environment, and institutional
and system teams are encouraged to attend.
